East Houston, TX Staffing Agency
Luxor Staffing fills light industrial roles across east and southeast Houston, from the container terminals on the Ship Channel to the distribution and packaging operations that feed them. Our Gulf Freeway office is minutes from both.
East Houston Staffing Services Designed for Your Workforce Needs
East Houston work moves on container volume. Port Houston is one of the busiest ports in the country by tonnage, and the southeast submarket around it is the most active in the metro for new industrial construction, with millions of square feet underway. When a vessel arrives, the transloading and packaging work behind it has to be staffed that week rather than next month.
Luxor recruits for exactly that. We place general warehouse, transloading, packaging and material handling workers across east and southeast Houston, and we stay on the account after the crew starts. Our Gulf Freeway office sits in a dense residential part of the city, which means applicants can walk in rather than submitting a form and hoping.

Why Choose Luxor for Staffing in East Houston
Port work has a rhythm that inland distribution does not. Volume arrives in waves tied to vessel schedules and export cycles, so the crew you need in week one is not the crew you need in week four, and an agency that can only deliver a fixed headcount is not much help. We staff to the wave and move with it, which is a different service than filling a requisition once and invoicing.
Minutes From the Ship Channel
Our Gulf Freeway office sits between the container terminals and the neighborhoods our workers live in, which keeps response time short in both directions.
Transloading and Packaging Crews
We staff the work behind the containers, including transloading, product and resin packaging, palletizing and cross dock operations across all three shifts.
Coverage From the First Shift
Every Luxor employee receives ACA compliant health coverage from day one, at no cost to your company. It is part of why our people stay once placed.
Built for High Volume
We staff shifts of 300 or more, with discounts on high volume orders, transfers and referrals. Surge coverage is what our process was designed around.
Industries We Staff Across East Houston
General warehouse and distribution work is the bulk of our east Houston volume. Imports arriving through the container terminals need unloading, sorting and cross docking, and the export side needs packaging and palletizing, particularly for the plastics and resin products this region ships in quantity.
Assembly and kitting, commercial recycling and food production and packaging round out the mix, including temperature controlled work as cold storage capacity grows near the port. We do not staff commercial driving, construction trades or plant craft work. Our recruiters place the people who work inside distribution and packaging buildings, which is a deliberate boundary in a region this heavy on industrial construction.
Our East Houston Staffing Process
We Plan Around Your Volume Cycle
Before sourcing, we walk the site and get clear on how your volume actually arrives. Vessel schedules, export cycles and customer commitments determine whether you need a steady crew or a core team plus a flex layer, and building the wrong shape costs you either coverage or margin. We set that shape first.
We Screen for the Job in Front of Us
Our recruiters interview against the real work rather than a job title, checking experience with the equipment and the pace your operation runs and verifying eligibility and any screening you require. For packaging and transloading work we screen for consistency under repetition, because that is what actually breaks down over a long shift.
We Onboard for Safety Before Day One
Every worker we place completes safety onboarding built around your site rather than a generic orientation. We implement and customize site specific safety programs to match what your operation already requires, and we hold safety compliance meetings with crews once they are on the floor.
We Flex the Crew With the Volume
The same Luxor representatives stay on the account, visiting the site and moving headcount up or down as volume shifts rather than holding to the original order. You get complete reporting and compliance documentation in the format your team reviews. On port driven accounts that flexibility is the service, not an extra.
