Commercial Recycling Staffing Services
Sort line, baler, and yard crews for recycling and material recovery operations. This is the most physically demanding environment we staff, and we describe it accurately to every candidate before they accept the job.
Commercial Recycling Staffing Designed For Your Workforce Needs
A material recovery facility is loud, dusty, often unheated and uncooled, and the sort line does not stop for anyone. The work is repetitive, the material is unpredictable, and the smell is real. Staffing it well starts with describing it accurately.
We place sorters, sort line workers, baler operators, equipment operators, container and yard crews, and general labor into recycling and waste processing operations. Whether a crew holds together depends on whether the people who arrive for the first shift were told the truth about the work. We tell them, in detail, before they accept.

Industries We Serve

What Recycling And Material Recovery Work Covers
Operations vary more than most people expect, and each role inside them screens differently.
Sort line. Standing at a moving belt, separating material by type and pulling contamination, at a pace the line sets rather than the person. Single-stream facilities are the most demanding version, because the material arrives mixed and the sorting decisions are constant. Most of our recycling placements go here, and it is where early turnover is highest.
Baler and equipment operation. Running balers, compactors, and conveyor systems, plus the forklift and loader work that moves finished bales and feeds the line. These roles carry real safety exposure, and we verify equipment experience directly.
Container, yard, and transfer station. Roll-off containers, sorting bulk material, loading, and general yard labor. Mostly outdoor work, which adds a weather variable the sort line does not have.
We also place scrap sorting crews and electronics recycling teams. Luxor does not staff roll-off drivers or any role requiring a commercial driver’s license.
What We Tell Candidates Before They Accept
Early departures are the central staffing problem in recycling, and most of them trace back to one cause. Someone was recruited with a vague description of warehouse work and learned what the job actually involved after arriving.
We describe it in advance instead. Candidates are told:
- The noise, the smell, and the temperature
- The pace the sort line sets
- What the material is and what they will be pulling off the belt
- The PPE they will wear for the full shift, and why
Some decline at that point, and that is the purpose of the conversation. A candidate who declines during screening costs you nothing. A worker who leaves at first break costs you a shift and a replacement.
Safety onboarding is built around your facility, covering your sort line, your equipment, your PPE requirements, and your lockout procedures.

What You Can Expect From Luxor Staffing
Recycling is its own category with its own screening conversation. The environment is different from general warehouse work, and the labor pool suited to it is smaller, so we recruit and screen for it separately.
Candidates Told The Truth First
Noise, smell, temperature, pace, and PPE, described plainly before anyone accepts. A smaller yes during screening is worth more than a crew that leaves at first break.
Sort Line And Equipment Screened Separately
Standing a sort line and running a baler are different jobs with different risks, and we screen for them separately.

Coverage On Every Shift
Material arrives around the clock. Overnight and weekend coverage is standard work for us.
